Twisted Strings, composed of twisted cotton threads, have a strong musical connotation. It's a sober but very sensitive technique, creating a new and unexpected visual language. The rotation guarantees the cohesion of the cords, piercing the canvas on each end and knotted together at the back. The cords are placed side by side in parallel, radiant motifs and in a fan-shaped or geometric composition. Leblanc uses the techniques of sewing and bookbinding, which is very rare in pictorial art. It demonstrates both a refined and a structured craft.
